Our language school in Barcelona was founded in 1972 and has since grown into a major centre for language teaching, teacher training, study tours and related activities. There are six main areas of activity in the school:

• Training teachers of Spanish and
• Teaching Spanish to students from all over the world
• Translation courses
• Translation Services (via ih-translation.com)
• Sending students from Spain to study languages abroad

What makes our school special?

Our school is not quite like most other language schools. We've been around longer than most, and we're centrally located in great premises in one of the world's most exciting cities - Barcelona.

Our courses are taken by thousands of students from around the world, so at any one time there is a truly international mixture in the school...

But it's neither that nor the school's location that makes us unique. What does make us stand out from the crowd is the quality of our teaching.

We don't just teach language courses, we also train language teachers - which includes, of course, our own - to exacting standards.
